Carolyn Bonquin, the former ABS-CBN News reporter, is now the newest member of the CNN Philippines family.

The millennial journalist, who was best known for her reporting on corruption involving public officials, made the big jump to the local CNN station in exactly the same post.

You may recall that Bonquin left the media industry in September of last year after receiving a Chevening scholarship from the British government to study investigative journalism at Birkbeck, University of London.

She told ABS-CBNNews.com last year: "Mahalaga sa akin ang aking matutunan sa U.K. sa ilalim nitong Chevening program na magagamit ko sa aking trabaho sa Pilipinas pagbalik ko."

Bonquin, a UP alum, worked at ABS-CBN for 7 years beginning in 2010. Aside from covering several other news beats, including crime, environment and agriculture, Bonquin also worked behind the scenes as segment producer and writer for the documentary program Mukha.
