President Rodrigo Duterte has tapped ABS-CBN News Channel veteran Nancy Irlanda as a board member at the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP).

In an appointment letter dated August 31, Duterte designated the former ANC news anchor as the representative of the private sector, serving the unexpired term of office of Rodolfo Villanueva Puno which began in July and will end in June of next year.

Irlanda was last seen on ANC in February of last year. At the time, she was one of the primary substitute anchors for Tina Monzon-Palma at The World Tonight — this in addition to her weekend duties at Dateline Philippines.

Prior to that, she served as the host and producer of the weekend talk program Shake, and morning news anchor for News Now and Mornings@ANC after rejoining the Kapamilya news channel in 2015.
