More changes are coming to PTV4 as well-placed sources tell us that comedian and TV host Arnell Ignacio is set to join the network's on-air team.

According to our sources, Ignacio, who has been appointed last year by President Rodrigo Duterte as assistant vice president for community relations and services of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), will soon be hosting a new daily public service program.

Tentatively called 8888 — which, interestingly, is the government's complaint hotline — the new program will serve as a venue for the public to send their complaints on erring government officials and employees.

No timeslot for the program has been given yet, although we are hearing that it will likely replace Good Morning Pilipinas, the morning broadcast hosted by Aljo Bendijo, Jules Guiang, Karla Paderna and Dianne Medina.

Mr. Duterte earlier expressed his desire to launch a one-hour morning program on the state-owned television network where viewers can tune in to know "who are corrupting this country."

“There is a MalacaƱang TV, PTV4, so may program ako diyan. I’ll give about every morning, one hour," he said in speech back in October. "Lahat ng Pilipino na nakatikim ng — whether it’s in the permit sa office of the mayor or an electrical clearance or a way of right already paid but unimplemented. I-text mo na lang ‘yung name ng government official.”

Ignacio is just one of the two Duterte supporters recently recruited by PTV4. The other is no less than Mocha Uson, who is set to return to the boob tube with her now-canceled commentary program, Mocha Uson Blog: Boses Ng Ordinaryong Pilipino.

The said program, which only ran for two months, was suspended by DZRH News Television after the sexy starlet and propagandist made crude and malicious attacks against Vice President Leni Robredo.
