GMA News TV will be airing a documentary from its Reel Time team that will try to look into the victims of extrajudicial killings and the agonies of the families they left behind.

Titled Ang Biyuda (Widows of War), this documentary will put a spotlight on the widows of slain drug suspects and those whose husbands were killed in the line of duty.

"The focus of this documentary will be on what happened to the families of alleged EJK victims," said the program's executive producer Jayson Bernard Santos, who has produced many of Reel Time's award-winning documentaries. "This documentary listens to the silent rage of families who felt neglected and betrayed."

"Moreover, it will present the other side of the story — widows of those slain police officers who performed their duties under the admin's banner program," he added.

Ang Biyuda, which will air this Saturday, April 8, is a follow-up to last year's Maling Akala documentary, which is currently vying for the National/International Affairs category at the prestigious New York Festivals’ World’s Best TV and Films 2017 Competition.
