Apart from staging its on-ground event “DZMM Kapamilya Day” to various barangays in the Metro, the 24-hour Filipino-language television channel will also do something it has never done before: go live in prime time with an early edition of ABS-CBN's Bandila.
On Monday, April 17, at 10PM, the channel will broadcast the Kapamilya late-night newscast to its viewers, which now includes subscribers of ABS-CBN TVplus and listeners of DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 on AM radio.
It will continue to air live on ABS-CBN Channel 2 in its regular time slot, right after Tonight with Boy Abunda, and will continue to be anchored by Karen Davila, Julius Babao and Ces Oreña-Drilon.
The move, according to a press release issued by ABS-CBN, aims to strengthen DZMM TeleRadyo's "programming as it strives to deliver the best and most relevant news content for Filipinos all over the nation round-the-clock."
