By MediaNewser.com | Sunday, May 08, 2016

Just like the presidential candidates, local networks will be seeking to capture the voters' attention tomorrow as preparations are underway for what we are considering the UAAP of television news.

Aside from ABS-CBN and GMA-7, TV5 will also be mounting a multi-platform coverage under its banner Bilang Pilipino. Network news chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes will be leading the coverage alongside Lourd de Veyra, Roby Alampay, Cheryl Cosim, Atty. Mel Sta. Maria, Ed Lingao, Cherie Mercado, and more than a dozen TV5 reporters who will be documenting the political race nationwide.

Also covering the elections are the two internationalized news networks, CNN Philippines and Bloomberg TV Philippines. And just like the past election cycles, ANC will deliver separate coverage from its parent station, to be led by Cathy Yang, David Celdran, Nancy Irlanda, Karmina Constantino, TJ Manotoc, Ron Cruz, Lynda Jumilla, Tina Monzon-Palma, Gigi Grande, Christian Esguerra, among others.

PTV4, meanwhile, will have its Hatol ng Bayan coverage, to be led by its roster of news anchors namely, Kathy San Gabriel, Veronica Baluyut-Jimenez, Angelique Lazo, Sev Sarmenta, Alex Santos and Aljo Bendijo.

Other networks covering the big election day are Net25 and UNTV Life.
