Philippine Daily Inquirer's Christian Esguerra joins ABS-CBN News

ABS-CBN News has added former Philippine Daily Inquirer reporter Christian Esguerra to its own reportorial team.

Esguerra, an award-winning journalist for the Inquirer, has been named multimedia reporter for the Kapamilya news division, reporting mainly for ANC and

During his time at the Inquirer, Esguerra has broken some of the biggest political stories of the past decade, including the cash handout controversy in 2007 involving then-President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

He has also received several recognitions for his journalistic work, including a Reporter of the Year award from the VACC in 2005 for his "balanced and reliable reporting on crime and corruption."

Additionally, Esguerra teaches journalism at the Univesity of Santo Tomas.

Esguerra is joining the news organization which is also the home of another popular PDI alum, Beyond Politics host Lynda Jumilla.
