PRESS RELEASE FROM ABS-CBN:

Broadcast journalist Ted Failon looks into the government's proposal to revive the Pasig River Ferry Service to help in reducing traffic congestion in Metro Manila in “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (Mar 1).

Aside from providing an alternative means of transportation to the public, the government also sees the project as a possible source of revenue that may contribute to the rehabilitation of the historic Pasig River.

The ferry service was discontinued in 2011 due to the declining number of passengers and navigational hazards, such as the river’s foul odor and water lilies that clog the waterways.

Will the return of the Pasig River Ferry Service solve traffic jams in Metro Manila?

“Failon Ngayon” also tackles the Philippine Basketball Association’s (PBA) plan to recruit foreign players and have them naturalized, a move it believes would strengthen the league.

Moreover, the episode features Filipina beauties who underwent plastic surgery. Ted also introduces the ‘mahiwagang blackbox’ or the Digibox to promote Digital Terrestrial Television, a high-tech standard that uses digital signals for broadcast.

Don’t miss the full report in “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (Mar 1), 4:45 PM, after SOCO on ABS-CBN with a replay on ANC every Sunday, 2PM.
