GMA NEWS TV LAUNCHES NEW PROGRAMS
GMA News TV is shaking up the network, launching several new programs this month.
Beginning September 17, GNTV will no longer simulcast Mike Enriquez's radio program Dobol B, and will debut a new morning show titled Kape at Balita, anchored by Unang Hirit's Susan Enriquez. Kape at Balita will air at 6 - 7:30 am.
Network's resident weather meteorologist Nathaniel Cruz will host the new public affairs show titled Hamon Ng Kalikasan, set to debut September 20.
GMA News TV will also air a back-to-back documentaries by Kara David, titled 1081 and Marcos: The Downfall of a Dictator, in time for the 40th Anniversary of the Declaration of Martial Law.
The network will also air the multi-awarded documentary Thriller in Manila at the end of the month.
Other programs to be launched this month includes some reality show imports—Pawn Stars and Kings of Restoration taking over the Sunday afternoon slot. GNTV also acquired the rights to air the latest season of CBS's Survivor Philippines, which was shot in Caramoan Islands. It'll air every Friday at 10 - 11 pm, with Weekend Getaway getting the late-night timeslot.
